No. 1136

Yesterday I watched Nate and his friend, Glen, run the 34th Annual New Bedford Half Marathon.

That's right, those two crazy Marines ran 13.1 miles yesterday morning. Nate had done some training, but had never run further than about 7 miles consecutively. His goal at the start was to run it in under 2 hours. His goal about 9 miles into was just to not stop running.

He ran it in 1 hour, 46 minutes, and 36 seconds!!!

All because I told him I didn't think he could do it in under 2 hours and he wanted to prove me wrong. I'll admit it, I was wrong and he was right. This doesn't happen often folks :)

Anyway, he had a great time doing it and we were both really impressed with his time. For those of you who Nate has already talked to and wanted some other stats, here you go.

The winner ran it in 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 25 seconds!
Nate finished 944 in a field of 2,344.
His pace was 8 minutes and 9 seconds per mile.

Way to dominate your first half marathon, love! I couldn't be more proud :)
